From Bad Gastein via Böckstein onto the Gasteiner Alpenstraße, a toll road (charged per person, not per car). Park in Sportgastein – the car park at the gondola valley station is almost always full, the one a little further on by the information centre is empty or half empty. The gondola to the mid-station including fitness ski touring costs 16.50 EUR (winter 2024/2025).
Food: restaurant at the mid-station, Goldberg Stube, Valeriehaus. Accommodation: e.g. Hotel Stubnerhof in Bad Gastein.
